Dominique Norville

As a collage artist, Dominique works with multiple media including photography, painting, text, paper ephemera, Polaroid transfers, print making, digital layers, and the all mighty glue stick. She has created artist trading cards for many years, and makes books out of materials such as slide holders, paint chips, and folded paper. Creating jewellery from repurposed buttons and excerpts of original art is a recent exploration.

Dominique’s work has been seen at venues around town including The Art Way, Britannia Gallery, Artropolis, the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, and various coffee shops and hair salons. Her first group show with AVA was the Nosh project in November 2012.

Dominique is also the curator of Terra Art, an office-based gallery space that promotes local artists. She has a background in art therapy, and has taught children and adults how to use art and writing as tools for relaxation and self-discovery. Dominique has also worked as a music promoter, and produced an independent music magazine in the early days of desktop publishing..
